🏏 A Story Behind the Numbers

CricRating is not a corporate product. It started with two individuals from completely different backgrounds, brought together by cricket and a shared curiosity for data.

Alex, originally from Ireland, is a competitive chess player rated around 1800. With a strong foundation in pattern recognition and probability, he developed a deep interest in analyzing sports beyond surface-level statistics. After studying in the United States, he began experimenting with cricket data — building models to understand player performance and match dynamics.

Dee, from Sri Lanka, is the driving force behind Da Nang Dragons Cricket Club in Vietnam. Since 2021, he has been actively working to grow cricket in Central Vietnam, building a community, organizing matches, and supporting players in a region where the sport is still developing.

They met through club cricket. Conversations after matches slowly turned into ideas — and those ideas became CricRating.

But cricket is far more complex than that.

Performance is influenced by context, consistency, pressure, and match situations. These layers are often ignored because they are difficult to measure.

CricRating was built to explore those deeper layers — using data, logic, and structured analysis.

The system processes structured datasets, including historical match data and CSV-based records, and applies intelligent modeling techniques to identify patterns, trends, and performance indicators.
